Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Rainey Mediate. By using the platform you agree to them. If you are using it on behalf of an organisation, you agree to them for that organisation.

What the service is

Rainey Mediate is a platform for resolving workplace disputes — capturing each side’s account, finding common ground, and, where needed, supporting a human mediator. It records, organises, facilitates, and drafts. It is not legal advice, not a court, and not a video-conferencing tool. An accepted resolution is an agreement between the parties, not a ruling.

AI features

The platform uses AI to conduct intake, surface common ground, and draft proposals and notes. AI proposes; people decide. A resolution takes effect only when every party explicitly accepts it, and generated notes become part of the record only after a mediator reviews them. Nothing is imposed by a model, and a human mediator is available at any time.

Accounts and eligibility

Accounts for individuals are created by invitation — there is no open personal signup. Organisations sign up and are responsible for who they invite. Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.

Acceptable use

Use the platform lawfully and in good faith. Do not misuse it, attempt to access cases you are not party to, or upload unlawful content.

Confidentiality

Case material is confidential and access-controlled. Do not share it outside the people entitled to see it on a case.

Subscriptions and payment

Organisations pay a subscription to use the platform. Plans and billing terms are presented at signup.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided on an “as is” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and limit our liability. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be excluded under New Zealand law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where it applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these terms; we will post the revised version here with a new “last updated” date.
